But First, Better Mood+

First and foremost Better Mood+ is my favorite formula because it works and it solves a problem that I encounter daily; Stress. My stress manifests as neck and shoulder tension which leads to head and neck pain every single day that I chose to be stressed. When I was a teenager I learned that our emotional reactions are a choice we make in the moment and that if we are able to pause and consider the situation we are able to avoid the negative choices.  Despite knowing better, most times I react emotionally and find myself creating stress as a result of it. When I take Better Mood+ I don’t make this mistake and I’m still a little surprised each time it doesn't happen.

Rather than assume the knee-jerk reaction, I’m able to let it go which results in me staying calm and not getting stressed out or angry.  As a result I spend less time harping on some negativity and instead get back to my day with my positive outlook.  The net outcome of this is both emotional and physical; I’m much happier because I’m not constantly stuck on something preventing me from enjoying the present moment and, because I’m not stressed, I’m also not carrying tension in my neck and shoulders or experiencing any pain.

Actually, I’m able to laugh at the same things that would normally annoy me or stress me out.  Honestly, I wish I had these years ago for family get togethers, college, the times in my life I worked in a corporate setting, and especially when I was driving 1500 miles a week for work.

In the past I would smoke cannabis to help with stress and anxiety; the downfall of this was it required me to be stoned quite often which left me open to judgement, loss of employment, and worst of all, legal action ( I grew up in Maryland and went to college in North Carolina).  The other big problem with that solution was the inability to find clean, safe, and consistent cannabis in a black market in prohibition states. All of these factors usually contributed to more anxiety than they alleviated.

Part of why I love Better Mood+ is because it is completely non-psychoactive which means you will never feel the anxiety that would traditionally accompany a psychoactive experience like when using THC.  While there is no THC in Better Mood+, there are plenty of raw acidic cannabinoids from raw hemp that help to regulate our mood as well as restore homeostasis without psychoactivity. It has been shown that the endocannabinoid system is linked to regulation of mood and since most people are not consuming cannabinoids, most people are experiencing a cannabinoid deficiency contributing to our inability to regulate our moods naturally.

The other 2 ingredients, lemon balm and valerian root, also work with the hemp to regulate mood by reducing stress and anxiety, helping us to relax our bodies and minds, and feel less nervous.  Interestingly, Xanax and Valium make use of the exact same methods of relief as Valerian Root by increasing the amount of a chemical in the brain (GABA) that helps regulate nerve cells and calm anxiety. However, Valerian Root can accomplish this without the litany of negative side effects or risk of death.

Better Mood+ was my favorite formula just for the stress relief it provided me but I recently learned that it could be helping my brain as well.  Lemon Balm has been shown to improve performance during cognitive tasks involving memory, mathematics, and concentration. Lemon Balm and Hemp both protect the brain and hemp is even patented for this quality by the US Govt (https://patents.google.com/patent/US6630507B1/en).

From the Patent: Cannabinoids found in hemp “are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limited neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke or trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease [and] Parkinson’s disease”. I've had a few concussions so this quality is especially attractive to me.

For these reasons and more, Better Mood+ has solidified its place in my daily regimen.
